ELECTRICIAN / MILLWRIGHT

 Mid-West Forge produces axle forgings for Ford, Chrysler, and other light truck vehicles.  The Company is a Tier 1 automotive, TS Certified, three-shift operation which employs approximately 150 people.  The 145,000 sq.ft. facility is located on the east side of Cleveland.

 We are seeking an Electrician / Millwright for our Maintenance Department who will perform the following duties:

  • Install and maintain electrical controls and devices on upsetters, shears, blasters, conveyors, extrusion presses, CNC lathes, mill and center machines, ABB/Motoman/Fanuc robots and other related equipment

  • Install and maintain electrical devices

  • Install and maintain compressed air, natural gas, and water pipe found within the facility

  • Perform preventive maintenance

  • Complete written records and maintain logs as required

The successful candidate must be able to work any shift, have a solid work history and apply education and work experience in self-directed activity to troubleshoot and repair complex machinery and will possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of four (4) years of education or eight (8) years equivalent work experience in the field of Electrical Maintenance and a mechanical aptitude that will enable safe operation of a variety of equipment and tools

  • Must be able to troubleshoot and repair by using test instruments, schematics or ladder logic

  • Experience with RS Logix/Allen Bradley PLC’s

  • Preferred experience with ABB/Motoman/Fanuc controls and robots

  • Familiar with and able to apply the National Electrical Code

  • Should be able to bend conduit with minimal assistance

  • Familiar with the use and safe operating requirements of electrical testing devices

  • Be able to follow both written and verbal instructions

  • Thorough working knowledge of lock/out tag/out and arc flash

 Military experience a plus. Must have own tools.
