Gaging & SPC
Every part that is produced is
inspected utilizing an automatic gage and inspection system. A networked
inspection configuration processes real time SPC information throughout the
plant.
Lab
In our metallurgical lab we are capable of performing grain flow and
grain size analysis, defect investigation, and some dimensional
examination. The lab includes five polishing stations, an acid etching booth, a
Unimet Metalograph with photographic capability, and optical measuring
equipment.
CMM
Our coordinate measuring machine, with a five axis probe, is capable
of scanning complex contours, which can then be compared to the CAD drawings
that are produced by our engineers. The machine is located in a dust free,
temperature controlled room to ensure quality results. The CMM's large working
envelope allows us to inspect small tool components, complete tool assemblies,
as well as large forge machine components.
